Great-great-great-grandmother is claimed to be the world’s oldest living person after celebrating her 131st birthday
A Chinese woman is thought to be the world’s oldest person after celebrating her 131st birthday on June 25.
Ms Alimihan Seyiti, from China’s western Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, spent her birthday with 56 descendants as she enjoyed her favourite buns and noodles, Chinese media reports.
The Muslim woman’s health is in good condition with her blood pressure, lipids and sugar all at normal levels.
Ms Alimihan Seyiti’s ID card shows she was born on June 25, 1886 while China was still under rule of Qing Dynasty’s Guangxu Emperor, according to China News.
The pensioner celebrated her birthday with five generations of descendants on Sunday at her home in Shule County of the Kashgar region.
Her family brought her favourite grilled buns from the market and her daughter made her some noodles.
In China, long noodles are often used as a birthday gift to bless the person with longevity.

2013年，中国老年学学会公布的第六届“中国十大长寿之星排行榜”上，阿丽米罕·色依提居榜首。同年，她被扛旗世界纪录认证为世界上最长寿的人和世界上最长寿的女性，并颁发了这两项世界纪录的证书。

I know of people who lied about their age when the took refuge in the UK. It’s makes sense to add as many years as possible and collect your pension and bus pass as soon as you can. Then you can tell people that you’re over 100 and go skydiving for free. It’s a win-win situation for them.

An identity document does not prove age, errors have been made entering DOB many times. Only a properly recorded birth with a matching serial number birth certificate than can be verified would establish age. Sure she is old, and well done her, but 131, most unlikley!
