They do, and from what I can tell France deals with it quite differently. To steal ideas from a better mind, they”‘reassimilationist and want all people in France to be French first and foremost while the US is more multicultural (go figure)and this shows with BLM. Black people in the US don”t want to abandon their unique identity to become just “American”and I think that speaks to some of the poorer French citizens who have ancestry from outside of France.

But a different great power may have a totally different approach to things and care far less ab out imposing its culture or imposing itself in other ways.
