If you think Japanese is easy to pronounce you obviously don’t speak the language. Every single word has a pitch accent associated with it and changes depending on the context of a sentence. If you don’t have the pitch accent down, your are less intellegible.

@Ben Bisogno yeah definitely…japanese seem simple to pronouce but it’s not, even there is some words who are really hard to pronouce, without talking about the sound of the mix of H/F and L/R

@Jeahn Shieh Where did you hear that Chinese grammar is influenced by the West? Have you seen the ancient vernacular Chinese works such as Dream of Red Mansions, Water Margin and Journey to the West? Were them influenced by the West in that era? The classical Chinese grammar used ancient grammar, and the vernacular Chinese was used in daily life after the Tang and Song dynasties, of course differently

@Lewis Ridley Because in English the letter R is pronounced very lightly. But in Japanese, Persian, and Spanish, the letter R is pronounced very thickly. That’s why it’s hard for English speakers to pronounce Japanese words.

Aidurrr My native language is Korean, and I can speak Japanese, Chinese. I personally think Korean is the easiet languages of 3. Because you don’t have to memorize all those 漢字(Chinese character). Because of 漢字、you might take more than 7 years to write proper sentence in Japanese and Chinese. Chinese is definetely the most difficult language.
For the english speaker, I recommend you to study Korean first, and then Japanese (Same grammar), and Chinese. Not only the grammar, since Korea was once colonized by Japan, we share some words like 가방(gaban)and かばん(kaban), or 기준(gijun) and 基準(kijun)
* 가방&かばんmeans bag and 기준&基準means standard.

@Jeahn Shieh Don’t pretend you know China well. There is not much difference in grammar between ancient Chinese and modern Chinese. The difference is only in the way of writing, but the grammar has not changed. Ancient Chinese writing skills are special classical Chinese, which is totally different from the way ordinary Chinese speak!

Why korean n vietnamese didnt want to use chinese alphabet anymore . Japanese still use chinese alphabet mix with hitagana n katakana. Thats easy for both of them to know each other even some time can missunderstand same word but different meaning.
